Doctrinal Statement
  • We believe: In both the verbal and plenary inspiration of the Word of God. The Bible is inerrant and infallible and the supreme authority for all faith and practice (2 Tim. 3:16, Heb. 4:12).
  • We believe: In the Triune God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe: In the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ as fully God, and the humanity of Christ as fully man (Phil. 2:5-11, Col. 1:13-22; 2:9; John 1:1-18, Heb. 1: 3-4). We believe in His virgin birth, His penal-substitutionary death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, and His imminent return (Isaiah 9:6; Luke 1:26-38; Col. 2:13-15; 1 Cor. 15).
  • We believe: In salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Therefore, salvation is a work of God’s grace, plus nothing and minus nothing. The conditions for receiving salvation are repentance of sin and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Rom. 3:23, 6:23, 10:9, Eph. 2:8-9, John 3:16; Titus 2:11-14). Salvation can only occur as the Holy Spirit illumines truth in a person’s heart and they become aware of their sin and need of forgiveness (1 Cor. 2:10-15; John 6:65).
  • We believe: That man is justified by faith alone and can stand legally righteous before God only through the merit of Jesus Christ (Rom. 5:1-2; 2 Cor. 5:21).
  • We believe: In an everlasting heaven prepared for those who have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, and an everlasting hell for those who reject His free gift of salvation (John 6:40; 14:1-6; Col. 3:1-4; Eph. 1:3-14; Rev. 20:15).
  • We believe: The church is the “called out” people of God who gather for the purpose of worshiping the One True God. Christ is the Head over all things for the church (Col. 1:18), which is His body (Eph. 1:22-23) and He, Himself, builds the church, (Matt. 16:18).
  • We believe: In expositional preaching of the Scriptures which seeks to place all of God’s people under the authority of Scripture.
  • We believe: In rightly celebrating the ordinances of Baptism (by immersion) and Lord’s Supper (John 6:53-58; 1 Cor. 11; Eph. 4:1-6; Col. 2:12).
  • We adhere to the Southern Baptist statement of doctrines as set forth in the 2000 version of the Baptist Faith and Message. We hold to these beliefs not simply because they are endorsed by the Southern Baptist Convention, but because it is our conviction that they align with and affirm the teachings of Scripture.
