How would you feel if you had a medical bill that you were unable to pay? A notice arrives in your mailbox stamped, PAID IN FULL! What a joy would flood your heart. Each of us has a bill that we are unable to pay. That bill is called SIN! The Bible says, "for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Rom. 3:23). We are all guilty! This debt has a penalty called death, "for the wages of sin is death" (Rom. 6:23). The death that is spoken here is eternal separation from God in a place called hell. That is BAD NEWS!

The Gospel of Jesus Christ contains GOOD NEWS! The gospel is that, "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day" (1 Cor. 15:3-4).

God loves you so much that he sent his only son to die for you (John 3:16). This shows the depth of God's love for us. Jesus allowed those Roman soldiers to nail Him to the cross in order to die for our sins. 1 Peter 2:24 says, "who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree." (Cross).

The Lord Jesus wants to give YOU a new life right NOW. Jesus says, "Behold I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him" (Revelation 3:20). Jesus is standing at the door of your heart knocking and the only way He will ever come into your life is for you to receive Him. Will you receive Him into your life? If you will, pray this simple prayer in faith:

"Dear God, I'm sorry for all that I have done wrong. I admit that I have have sinned against you. I believe that you sent your only son to die for my sins. Thank you for loving me and sending your son, Jesus to die for me. I receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. From this moment on I desire to live for you. Thank you for saving me."

Friend, if you prayed that prayer and meant it, the Bible says, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name" (John 1:12). Welcome to the family of God!
